"In October 2023, the transit of Russian gas to the Republic of Uzbekistan began. In 2023, 1.28 billion cubic meters were transported, and this year we plan to increase this figure to 3.8 billion cubic meters and in the future to 11 billion cubic meters per year," Satkaliev was quoted as saying by the vlast.kz website.

The minister noted that the transit of gas from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to China is also showing "sustainable growth". According to him, Kazakhstan plans to increase transit to 37.1 billion cubic meters this year, which is 1.5 billion cubic meters more than last year.

" Currently, the issue of transit delivery of Russian gas to Kyrgyzstan through Kazakhstan is being considered," he added.
