Selcuk Bayraktar Fergani, chairman of the board of the Turkish aerospace company Baykar Yönetim, announced that the first satellite will be launched into space in 2024 as part of the Fergani Uzay (Ferghani Space) project.

Bayraktar also noted that work is underway on low-orbit satellites.

"As you know, Turkey has made great progress in the defense industry. Our achievements are not only in the field of drones. "Turkey is also capable of producing solid-fuel engines and rockets for missile systems," he added.

Founded in 2022 by Selchuk Bayraktar, Fergani Uzay specializes in the production of commercial satellites, satellite components and space payloads using innovative, cost-effective propulsion technologies.

Microsatellites manufactured by Fergani Uzay will be able to launch payloads of up to 100 kg, consisting of information exchange, GPS and other technologies, to an altitude of 500-600 km.

Fergani Uzay is also working on an orbital vehicle called a "space bus" that can take satellites to any orbit.
