Deputies passed a law declaring foreign citizens inadmissible
Deputies of the Legislative Chamber adopted in the third reading the draft law defining the grounds and procedure for finding the presence of foreign citizens and stateless persons in Uzbekistan unacceptable. This was reported by the press service of the lower chamber.
The draft law was developed on the basis of a legislative initiative by a group of deputies. It provides for amendments and additions to the law "On the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan".
It is considered unacceptable for a person to be in the Republic of Uzbekistan to make public speeches or conduct actions that contradict the state sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of Uzbekistan, cause interstate, social, national, racial and religious enmity, insult the honor, dignity or history of the people of Uzbekistan. is determined to be the basis for finding.
It is also proposed to ban foreign citizens or stateless persons of this category from entering Uzbekistan, opening bank accounts, buying real estate, participating in the privatization of state property, entering into financial and contractual relations for five years. The draft law also provides for the grounds and procedure for deporting persons deemed inadmissible to be in the country.
