Chinese start building wind power plant in Charvak
An official groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Charvak wind power plant construction project in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region.
The event was attended by Sun Yan, Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Uzbekistan, representatives of responsible Chinese companies, Deputy Minister of Energy Umid Mamadaminov, Khokim of Bostanlyk District Jurabek Akhmedov, as well as responsible managers and employees, and local activists.
It is noted that TBEA Co., Ltd. won the tender held by the Commerce Department of China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to carry out the construction work of the project and was selected as the general contractor.
Within the framework of this project, a wind power plant with a capacity of 20 MW will be built. This will generate an average of 50 million kWh of electricity per year. Currently, construction work is underway on a 10-hectare land area (in the Burchmulla area) allocated by the general contractor based on the relevant resolution of the Tashkent regional governor.
