Baku declared two employees of the French embassy "person non grata".

Azerbaijan declared two employees of the French embassy as " persona non grata " . Anadolu Agency reports this with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

According to the Ministry , on December 26, Anne Boyon, the ambassador of France to Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The diplomat was informed by two employees of the French embassy that he was declared persona non grata by the government of Azerbaijan due to his activities that did not correspond to his diplomatic status and contradicted the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.

Baku demanded that these persons leave Azerbaijan within 48 hours. The relevant note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan was handed over to the French ambassador.
