Azerbaijani school textbooks portray Israel as an invader in a positive light

The Azerbaijani government has become the first Muslim country to include a positive portrayal of the Israeli occupation in school textbooks. Maps of occupied Palestine and references to Yasser Arafat have been removed from textbooks. Palestinian resistance movements have also been described as "terrorists."

In addition, Israeli technological advancements and agricultural innovations are being presented to young people as examples of international cooperation. The textbooks also include information about the Holocaust and a definition of anti-Semitism.

Behind these changes is undoubtedly a turn a blind eye to the crimes openly committed against the Palestinians by the occupiers and the government's attempt to deceive Muslims.
