This resolution, which was put forward in the European Parliament by a number of circles influenced by Armenia and the Armenian lobby, is part of the slander, despite the fact that it is presented as "peace promotion" and is ostensibly dedicated to the relations between the European Union and Armenia. A campaign against Azerbaijan, in which all the facts are falsified, said the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The resolution contains meaningless and insulting statements that contradict the essence of international relations, violate the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, the diplomat said.
In turn, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and other officials welcomed this resolution of the European Parliament.
For information, this resolution of the European Parliament was supported by all factions and was adopted with 504 "yes", 4 "against" and 32 "abstentions" votes.
The resolution states, among other things, that the European Union should be ready to apply sanctions against any individuals and legal entities that threaten the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Armenia.

- reiterates Azerbaijan's condemnation of the military invasion and ongoing occupation of the internationally recognized territory of Armenia;
reaffirms the demand to withdraw Azerbaijani troops from the entire sovereign territory of Armenia;
Rejects and expresses serious concern about the provocative statements of the President of Azerbaijan and other Azerbaijani officials that threaten the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia, including the demand to create an extraterritorial corridor connecting Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan exclave;
warns Azerbaijan against any possible military adventures against Armenia;
It emphasizes that communication problems between Azerbaijan and its exclaves should be resolved with full respect for Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
