It is noted that the negotiations in Washington mainly discuss the continuation of defense cooperation between Ukraine and the USA, in particular, joint projects on the production of weapons and anti-aircraft defense systems, as well as the issues of coordinating the efforts of the two countries next year .
The White House press service said that the Zelensky-Biden meeting is of great importance "at a time when Russia is stepping up its missile and drone attacks against Ukraine."
Volodymyr Zelensky will also meet with Mike Johnson, the speaker of the lower house of the US Parliament - the House of Representatives. Mike Johnson suggests that the funds requested to be allocated to Ukraine should be directed to immigration reforms at the country's southern borders.
It should be noted that last week the US Senate rejected the bill on additional financing of military aid to Ukraine.
