The Pentagon is worried about $2 million missiles against Yemen's $2,000 drones

Pentagon officials have expressed concern over the risk of the Houthis attacking the US Navy and international shipping in the Red Sea, as well as the "huge costs" of countering drones and missiles, Politico writes.

As noted, intercepting a $2,000 drone would require a medium-range anti-aircraft missile costing over $2,000 million. In this regard, the American military believes that Washington should consider cheaper types of air defense equipment.

It should be noted that earlier the US destroyer USS Carney announced that the Houthis shot down 14 drones and ships associated with Israel in the Red Sea.
