Ukraine launched a major drone attack on seven regions of Russia

Drones also fell on the territory of the Lukoil plant in Kstovo, Nizhegorod region, and a fire broke out.

In Belgorod, a drone crashed into the city administration building, injuring two women. Another drone crashed into the roof of a shopping mall near the train station, but there were no casualties.

On the morning of March 12, there were reports that armed combat groups from the territory of Ukraine tried to invade the Belgorod and Kursk regions of Russia in pickup trucks. Their attacks were supported by mortars, tanks and armored vehicles. It was reported that members of the "Russian Freedom" Legion, "Siberian Battalion" and the Russian Volunteer Corps, consisting mainly of Russian citizens, crossed the border.

Kursk governor Roman Starovoyt said that the armed forces of Ukraine shelled the village of Tetkino in the morning. Russian military bloggers claimed that saboteurs from the Ukrainian side may have crossed the border of Kursk (Tetkino district) and Belgorod regions.

According to Starovoit, "an attempt to break through was observed by the sabotage and reconnaissance group, there was a shooting, but no results were achieved."

Later, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSS) reported that there were several attempts to cross the state border in these two regions. The FXX claims that the enemy formations suffered heavy losses.

According to the press release of the Ministry of Defense, the first attempt to cross the border was made at three o'clock in the morning, and after eight o'clock in the morning four more attacks were carried out by groups that tried to break into the border area in Tetkino and the attack was repelled.

In the evening, the Russian Ministry of Defense issued another statement, claiming that the Russian military and border guards killed 234 Ukrainian saboteurs who tried to invade the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

"The enemy lost 234 fighters, seven tanks, three US-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and two armored vehicles. There were no violations of the state border," the report said.

Ukrainian authorities did not comment on these statements. The General Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reminded that only the above-mentioned structures consist of Russian citizens.
