Trump bans citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US
US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order banning citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States. The ban applies to citizens of Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Somalia and Chad.
Citizens of Eritrea, Burma, Haiti, and Equatorial Guinea are also blacklisted.
Partial restrictions have been introduced for citizens of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Venezuela, and Turkmenistan.
The document states that these measures are related to US counter-terrorism policy.
