The UN General Assembly passed a resolution calling on Israel to withdraw from the occupied territories
The United Nations General Assembly has voted in favor of a draft resolution submitted by Palestine demanding that Israel comply with the International Court of Justice ruling and leave the occupied Palestinian territories within one year.
The resolution was supported by 124 countries, including Uzbekistan, Russia, Belgium, Brazil, Qatar, China and France, 14 countries, namely Hungary, Israel, the USA and the Czech Republic, opposed it, and another 43 countries abstained from voting. A two-thirds vote was required to pass the resolution.
UN resolutions, unlike Security Council documents, do not have binding legal force .
