The "Big Seven" decided to transfer the profits from Russian assets to Ukraine
By the end of 2024, the leaders of the G7 countries reached an agreement to allocate $50 billion to Ukraine from the profits from Russia's frozen assets. This was reported by AFP with reference to the Elysée Palace.
It is noted that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called this US initiative a "historic step".
"Ukraine can now buy the necessary weapons and have enough funds to reconstruct itself," he said.
He also recalled Putin's words that he wanted to continue the war until everyone refused to support Ukraine.
