Saudi Arabia reacts to Trump's statement on taking control of the Gaza Strip

Former US President Donald Trump has said he intends to take control of the Gaza Strip and "cleanse" the enclave. He said the United States may send troops to ensure security in the area.

Trump made the remarks at a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He also proposed relocating Palestinians to Jordan and Egypt and said he intended to turn the Gaza Strip into a "Middle Eastern Riviera."

Following Trump's statements on Gaza, the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry issued an official response.

"Saudi Arabia will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel until an independent Palestinian state is established," the official statement said.

Riyadh also announced its condemnation of any actions that violate the rights of Palestinians, including occupation and forced displacement.

It is noted that a bill has been submitted to the US Senate and House of Representatives to change the name of the "West Bank" to "Judea and Samaria."

Trump also announced his intention to visit Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Gaza. However, he did not disclose the exact dates of the trip.
