Palestinians evacuated to Russia will be employed
Palestinian refugees evacuated to Russia are provided with work in Dagestan. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the head of the republic.
"Part of the displaced people are considering employment opportunities in Dagestan. A specially formed working group will deal with this work," the report said.
It was reported that more than 150 people, including more than 70 children, were evacuated to Dagestan from the Gaza Strip in four groups starting from November 25. They were placed in a temporary accommodation center established in one of the resorts.
It is noted that there are high-class doctors, teachers, translators, and linguists among the refugees.
"People are ready to start a new life, and we should help them build this life," said the head of the republic Sergey Melikov at a meeting dedicated to current issues.
Earlier, the Minister of Education and Science of Dagestan, Yahya Buchaev, announced that the Palestinian children who came to the region will be placed in a school and a kindergarten in the village of Gamiyakh.
In mid-November, the Russian TRT service reported that Dagestan sent more than 30 tons of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip, where the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is raging.
