The Israeli military announced that one officer and two soldiers were killed in Gaza
The Israeli military announced on Tuesday that three soldiers were killed and four were seriously wounded in various battles in northern Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.
The dead were identified as a 23-year-old officer from the 53rd battalion of the 188th armored brigade of the Israeli army and two soldiers aged 20 and 21.
More than 80 Israeli soldiers have been killed in Gaza since the ground invasion of the Palestinian enclave began, the UN said on Tuesday, citing official Israeli sources.
For reference, at least 15,899 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 7. In Israel, according to official data, the number of victims is about 1,200.
