In the US, incidents of hatred against Muslims increased by 172 percent
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) released new data on civil rights abuses.
According to him, in the background of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, in the last 57 days, the wave of hatred against Muslims and Palestinians has increased to an unprecedented level.
In the eight weeks between October 7 and December 2, Council departments received a total of 2,171 requests for assistance and reports of bias. This means 172% more than the same two-month period last year.
"From Burlington to Chicago to D.C. and beyond, innocent Americans are suffering the consequences of this wave of intolerance," said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. "As long as the violence in Gaza does not stop... we fear that Islamophobia and anti-Palestinian racism will spiral out of control in the country."
