Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported that explosions of pagers used by Hezbollah members across the country killed 9 people, including a child, and injured approximately 2,800 people, 200 of them seriously.
500 people are said to have gone blind due to eye injuries.
Lebanon claimed that Israel was behind the attacks. Israel has not yet made any statement in this regard. However, in many parts of Israel, people celebrated the attacks.
The names of the three models that appeared on social media and were said to be used by members of Hezbollah have sparked heated discussions.
According to him, two of the pager models in question are manufactured by US companies and one by Taiwanese companies.
One of the devices belongs to the US company Motorola, which has been making phones and other communication devices since the early 1900s.
However, until the evening of the day of the incident, photos of the Motorola-branded pagers, which were confirmed to have exploded or been damaged by Hezbollah members, were not distributed on social networks.
While Motorola-related Teletrim-branded devices are also mentioned, images of its products focus on the devices in their entirety.
The latest device shared on social media is the Gold Apollo Rugged Pager AR924, manufactured by Taiwan's Apollo Gold and marketed by Apollo Systems HK in Hong Kong.
The posts include photos of Apollo-brand pagers that are torn apart, but with model information still legible.
On the other hand, these companies stopped selling these devices long ago after the widespread use of mobile phones and the Internet. And these models are like second-hand sales.
Apollo Gold later announced that it did not manufacture the pagers that exploded in Lebanon and pointed to BAC Consulting.
In a statement, Apollo Gold stated that they do not have any authority to manufacture the AR924 pager.
"We only license the trademark and are not involved in the design or manufacture of this product," the statement said. The company stated that the production of these devices belongs to a company called BAC Consulting, which is allowed to use the license of the brand only.
