Hamas releases US citizen

Importantly, this agreement was signed directly between Hamas and the United States - Israel was not involved in this agreement.

A 70-day ceasefire may be declared in exchange for the release of an American prisoner of war and 10 other Jewish prisoners by the Palestinian resistance movement.

At the same time, the borders will be opened, humanitarian aid will be allowed to enter Gaza, and negotiations will continue.

Hamas also expressed gratitude to Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their political and humanitarian support.
