Egyptian billionaire wants to invest up to $50 billion in the US economy
Businessman Nassef Sawiris, known as Egypt's richest man, continues to invest heavily in the US economy. He plans to invest up to $50 billion in infrastructure projects in the United States, which is directly involved in the genocide in Gaza, the Financial Times reports.
In an interview with the publication, the Egyptian billionaire, who owns the English football club Aston Villa, announced that he has merged his chemical company OCI Global with his family's construction company Orascom Construction.
It is noted that the shares of the combined company will be offered for sale in Abu Dhabi, where Sawiris currently resides.
Sawiris added that the new company's main goal will be to invest in infrastructure projects in the United States. The billionaire's plans include the construction of data centers and participation in other large-scale projects.
