In particular, according to the Telegram channels "Monitor" and "Nikolaevskiy Vanek", two drones that crossed the border and headed towards Gomel were shot down half an hour later. Two explosions occurred over the city. The Flagstock channel added that the warning system, which has been in testing since 2022, did not work at the time of the attack.
According to estimates, seven to eight Russian drones flew over the Ukraine-Belarus border during the day.
The Air Force of Ukraine reported that the drones were flying in the direction of Chernihiv, Kyiv and Sumy regions.
In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that two naval drones were destroyed in the Black Sea. Earlier, the mayor of Novorossiysk warned about the risk of attack by unmanned boats, therefore movement restrictions were imposed in the coastal area. At 8 o'clock the alarm was canceled, but the results of the attack were not reported.
That night, Ukrainian drones attacked several regions of Russia. According to the information of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, two unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down in the sky of Belgorod and Bryansk regions, three in Kursk region, as well as one " Ol kha " missile in Belgorod region.
