In the next large-scale drone attack by Russia against Ukraine, a suicide drone of the Shahed type entered the territory of the Gomil region of Belarus. A Belarusian HHK fighter jet followed the drone for 20 minutes and then blew it up.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported that on the night of September 5, a number of Russian drones that crossed the state border were shot down. "Shahid" drones were destroyed by fighter jets. Explosions were heard and fires were reported on Telegram channels.
