Turkey and Arab countries work together in Africa and Central Asia. Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek informed about this. Simsek also noted that Turkey acts as a gateway to the European Union and Central Asia, and the Arab world has great potential to become a link between Asia and Africa for Turkey.

Turkey's Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek gave a speech at the two-day International Arab Banks Summit in Istanbul.

In it, Mehmet Şimşek noted that Turkey and the Arab world have a strong presence, but they are not using their full potential.

The two-day event, which ended on Friday, was organized by the Arab Bank Union under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Simsek also noted that Turkey acts as a gateway to the European Union and Central Asia, and the Arab world has great potential to become a link between Asia and Africa for Turkey.

"We have good political relations and we can use these opportunities," he said.

"First of all, the best solution is to conclude free trade agreements, which will create more development and prosperity. I think that free trade agreements will definitely help stimulate trade and investment," added the Turkish finance minister.

Also, Turkey can help develop tourism and provide the Arab world with human resources. This is an area where Turkey and the Arab world can do a lot together, the minister said.

Mentioning that Turkey has the second largest construction sector after China with global projects, he added that this is also a promising area for cooperation.
