The Israeli government has allowed the temporary operation of this NOP so that trucks carrying humanitarian aid from Egypt can return to the Kerem Shalom Checkpoint (NOP) in the Gaza Strip instead of Rafah on the border. This was reported by the office of the Prime Minister of Israel, TASS reports.

The report notes that only humanitarian aid will be delivered to the Gaza Strip from Egypt in this way.

Earlier, the Israeli government's Coordination Office in the Palestinian Territories (COGAT) reported that another 193 humanitarian trucks entered the Gaza Strip.
