In connection with the Independence Day, Uzbeks will have 4 days off
Uzbeks will rest for 4 days in a row in connection with the Independence Day. This was reported by the press service of the State Service Development Agency .
Holidays are defined in the decree of Shavkat Mirziyoev of December 2023 "On establishing non-working days and moving holidays during the celebration of official dates in 2024".
According to him:
August 31 — an additional day off for employees who work six days;
September 1 — Independence Day;
September 2 is a moved weekend (since the holiday falls on Sunday);
September 3 is an additional day off for everyone.
From September 4, all employees will return to full-time work.
Classes in schools, academic lyceums, colleges and technical schools will start on September 4, and in higher education institutions on September 9.
