A proposal to cancel free education for children of immigrants in the State Duma of the Russian Federation
The LDPR party presented to the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin a proposal to deprive immigrant children of free education.
According to Yaroslav Nilov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veteran Affairs, the relevant bill has already been prepared.
According to the address to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, now children of foreigners have equal rights with Russian children. However, the existence of educational institutions for immigrant children leads not only to a shortage of places, but also to a decrease in the level of education among the local population, the authors of the project noted.
In this regard, the LDPR proposed to end the education of children of foreign specialists at the expense of the Russian budget, reports URA.RU.
Before that, it was known that the deputies of the LDPR faction led by the leader of the party, Leonid Slutsky, are going to submit to the State Duma a draft law prohibiting migrant workers who do not have Russian citizenship to take their families to Russia. Only family members of highly qualified foreigners are exempted.
