In the Tula region of Russia, a foreign citizen (most likely a Central Asian) was accused of "missionary" and fined for praying five times at work together with other acquaintances.

The court of Aleksin, Tula region of Russia found the foreign citizen guilty of illegal missionary activities (Article 5.6 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility) and fined him 35,000 rubles (about $407), Islam News reported.

It was found that the man prayed 5 times a day in a room of the administrative building in the industrial zone of Aleksin district. The fact that he prayed together with other religious acquaintances was qualified by the court as missionary activity.

It is noted that during the trial, the accused fully confessed his guilt and asked for forgiveness.

Earlier, the Federal Agency for National Affairs (FADN) prepared a new orientation course for immigrants from Central Asian countries, which, among other things, shows where to pray.
