In 2023, more than 50,000 Central Asians entered America illegally. More than 17,000 citizens of Uzbekistan, 7,000 of Kyrgyzstan, 3,000 of Tajikistan, 2,700 of Kazakhstan and 2,000 of Turkmenistan have applied for asylum in US courts.
