A New York District Court has ordered police officers to pay $17.5 million in damages after police officers forcibly removed the hijabs of Muslim women they arrested.

The Supreme Court of Kazakhstan defended a schoolgirl who was excluded from class for wearing a headscarf. The Supreme Court recognized that the actions of the school management violated the student's right to education. The girl's lawyer stated that similar cases have already been considered in Pavlodar, Karaganda, Almaty and Turkestan regions, and in all cases the regional courts recognized that the rights of schoolgirls were violated.

In September of this year, a girl of the 8th grade was raped by a group of people in the Koshrabot district of the Samarkand region. The prosecutor's office is among the suspects. Despite the fact that almost two months have passed since the incident, the arrest of the criminals and the appropriate punishment are still being done, on the contrary, it is said that pressure is being put on the girl's family to withdraw the application.
