"Worse than adultery." Shouldn't official pedophiles be punished more severely?

On November 13 of this year, the "Keeping Silence" project reported on a terrible incident: a girl of the 8th grade was raped by a group of people in the Koshrabot district of the Samarkand region. The victim was abducted on September 23, the rapists beat the girl for several days and forced her to take alcohol and illegal substances. After some time, her relatives filed a missing report. The victim of violence was found 13 days later, on October 6, in a bad condition.

On the same day, the victim applies to the relevant authorities with a complaint that she was raped by several people. It is regrettable that during the investigation before the investigation of the application, it was found that the case manager of the Koshrabot district prosecutor's office was also involved in this situation. After that, the case manager will be dismissed from the prosecutor's office by the relevant order of the regional prosecutor. Nevertheless, the project added that there are various pressures on the girl to withdraw her application.

This incident reminded us that the officials who raped 15, 16, 17-year-old orphan girls last year in the 1st family orphanage in Urganch got away with a light sentence. Despite the sharp criticism and objections of the public, they were "patted on the head". When the verdict was announced, a large number of social network users expressed their displeasure. In their comments, they criticized that "laws and punishments that work for ordinary people do not work for officials." It was said that this situation creates social inequality in the society.

Another worrying aspect is that such abominations are actually committed by persons who are supposed to ensure the rule of law. This will undoubtedly increase people's distrust of the system.

After all, the rule of law is an important condition of the criterion of justice. In a society without the rule of law, there can be no talk of justice.

We can see this in the example of another controversial incident of last year - a student who sent a link to a Telegram group and was imprisoned for 3 years. At that time, activists called this sentence "a symbol of the unjust system formed in Uzbekistan." At a time when officials who stole millions of dollars from the nation or raped orphans are receiving suspended sentences, the 3-year imprisonment of a young man who shared a simple religious song was interpreted as the fact that the law does not work for everyone.

This is similar to the pre-Islamic Arabs (and others) of Jahiliyyah who would protect their relatives and fellow tribesmen in any way they could in controversial situations, even if they were unjust. And Islam forced everyone to be on the side of truth, even if it was against his own interest.

A hadith narrated by our mother Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, says:

"The people of Quraysh were worried about the honor of the Makhzoum woman who had committed theft. They said, "Who will tell the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about that woman.

Then, the loved ones of the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, said that no one but Usama could have dared to do this. Osama told him about this.

Then the Messenger of God, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, said to him: "Would you intercede for one of the punishments prescribed by Allah?!" they said.

Then he stood up and gave a sermon and said: "O people, the death of those who passed before you was due to the fact that the noble among them were let go if they stole, and the weak were punished if they stole. I swear by Allah, even if Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad, steals, I will certainly cut off her hand." The command was executed.

There was no distinction between "own" and "strangers", "rich" and "poor" in establishing justice for Muslims.
