A British survey found that Muslims donated an average of £708 ($880) in the past 12 months. Britons of other religions - 165 pounds ($205). Three out of four British Muslims have donated to the Palestinians in Gaza.

The donation was made in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP) of the United Nations. Weeknd's funds will be used to purchase 1,500 tons of wheat flour, which will make 18 million loaves of bread for almost 160,000 Palestinians.
