More than 280 million people in 59 countries and territories around the world are suffering from food insecurity due to armed conflicts, economic decline and extreme weather events, according to a new UN report.

Prominent American Jewish scholar and activist Norman Finkelstein has compared the French newspaper La Liberation, which laughed at the hunger in Gaza, to the Nazis' World War II publication Der Stürmer.

The Ministry of Health of Gaza announced that two more children died of hunger in Gaza as a result of the Israeli occupation. Thus, the number of Gazan children who died as a result of hunger and dehydration reached 6. Israel has not been delivering humanitarian aid to northern Gaza since January 23.

UNICEF reports that at least 700,000 children are at risk of death due to ongoing armed conflict and malnutrition in Sudan.

Due to limited humanitarian aid, these numbers may increase in the coming weeks and months.
