Why was the imam who appealed to Mirziyoyev imprisoned?

Reports have been circulating on social media that Fazliddin Parpiev, the former imam-khatib of the Omina mosque in Tashkent, who is known for his appeal to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has been detained in Istanbul. The Azon Global team has contacted Parpiev's relatives to clarify these reports.

According to Parpiev's relatives, at around 4 a.m. yesterday, April 15, men in military uniforms broke into Fazliddin Parpiev's home in Istanbul. They searched Parpiev's home without showing any permission to the homeowners.

After searching Parpiev's house for weapons and failing to find any, the men in military uniform repeatedly asked him where he had hidden them. Despite his lack of resistance, they insulted and beat Parpiev.

According to Parpiev's relatives, a special request may have been sent by Uzbekistan to arrest the imam, who was once famous for his appeal to Mirziyoyev.

So far, the Uzbek embassy or consulate has not commented on this.
