What will the EU money allocated for Central Asia be spent on?

Eduard Stiprais, the EU's special representative for Central Asia, who attended the Central Asia-European Union (EU) summit in Samarkand, announced that 12 billion euros in investments have been allocated for mutual cooperation. The funds will be used to finance joint projects in areas such as transport, energy, climate, water supply, digitalization, and key raw materials.


He noted that the EU and Central Asia plan to strengthen cooperation in areas such as combating terrorism, a platform for dialogue on the situation in Afghanistan, and promoting democratic reforms.


The EU has expressed its readiness to share its knowledge and experience with the Central Asian countries on regional integration, cooperation mechanisms, and institutional development.
