Uzbekistan Airways together with the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan will start charter passenger flights to Saudi Arabia as part of the Hajj 2024 program, the company's press service reported .
From May 23 to June 7, pilgrims who wish to perform rituals under the "Hajj" program will be transported to the city of Medina from 10 regional international airports of Uzbekistan, in particular, from the cities of Tashkent, Namangan, Fergana, Bukhara, Samarkand, Karshi, Termiz, Navoi, Nukus and Urganch. Return flights from Jeddah to the cities of Uzbekistan are planned to be made from June 22 to July 12.
According to the contract between the airline and the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, it is planned to carry out 124 charter passenger flights and transport 15 thousand 130 pilgrims in 2024. All flights of Uzbekistan Airways within the framework of the "Haj-2024" program are carried out on Boeing 767 aircraft.
"It should be noted that passengers are provided with a hot breakfast during check-in at the airports of the republic. During the flight, special meals prepared taking into account the requirements of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan will be distributed," the company noted.
In addition, during the transportation of pilgrims from Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia, cashiers work day and night at the Uzbekistan Airways Sales branch.
Earlier, it was reported that the 2024 Hajj season in Uzbekistan will begin on May 23.
