Turkish Airlines will transport 83.4 million passengers in 2023, reaching the highest number of passengers of all time.
"Turkish Airlines" (THY) has increased the number of passengers transported by 16.1% compared to 2022 and reached 83.4 million people in January-December last year, Anadolu reports.
In January-December 2022, the number of international passengers was 23.4 million people, and in the same period of 2023, it increased by 27.1% to 29.8 million people.
The total occupancy of seats increased by 1.9 points compared to the same period of 2022 and made 82.6 percent.
In 2022, the distance covered in relation to the number of seats totaled 201.8 billion km, and in 2023, this indicator increased by 16.4% to 234.8 billion.
In 2022, the volume of transported cargo and mail will be 1.68 million tons, and in 2023 it will decrease by 1.2% to 1.66 million tons.
According to the published report, the number of aircraft in THY's fleet has increased to 440.
Earlier, it was reported that Turkey's foreign trade volume in 2023 will reach 255 billion 809 million dollars, a record level in the country's history.
