Turkey sacrificed 1500 cattle in Sudan
Today, on Eid al-Adha, 1,500 head of cattle were sacrificed in Sudan under a trust program with the participation of the Religious Affairs Department and Religious Foundation of Turkey (TDJ). This was reported by "Anadolu" news agency.
It is noted that TDJ has completed preparations for the 2024 power of attorney program. At the moment, the fund's work covers two regions of Sudan - Atbara and Kassala.
Mehmet Barak, who participates in the good works of the Foundation as a volunteer, told the publication that all the preparations for the holiday have been made.
According to him, this year, through charity programs, it is aimed to celebrate the holiday in 80 countries of the world in an upbeat spirit. In addition, Barak thanked the citizens of Turkey for supporting the fund.
For information, Sudan, a country of 50 million people, has been suffering from civil war for a year, 15 thousand civilians have died, 25 million people are suffering from hunger and 11 million people have left their homes. The international community, which is shouting about the war in Ukraine, turns a blind eye to the current situation in Sudan.
