Turkish company ROKETSAN has developed ALKA directed energy system - laser weapon, which works on the basis of artificial intelligence.
ALKA is a hybrid air defense system that uses electromagnetic and laser technologies to counter asymmetric threats, the report said.
This type of weapon can be mounted on armored vehicles and stationary objects, it is mainly designed to destroy drones, as well as remotely detonate mines and improvised explosive devices.
The maximum target distance is 4 km, the effective range of drone destruction is up to 1 km.
