Tokayev is concerned about the growing risk of nuclear war

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana, expressed serious concern over the growing risk of nuclear conflict. He called on religious leaders to unite and political figures to think carefully before making important decisions to prevent Armageddon.

"Currently, the risk of nuclear war is increasing. Experts estimate that the probability of such an "Armageddon" has reached its highest level in the last decades. Unfortunately, instead of constructive initiatives and policies to ease tensions, confrontational thinking is gaining ground in the world. A deep chasm is emerging in geopolitical processes, and social tension is growing," he said.

In addition, the Kazakh leader proposed creating an interfaith commission to develop a separate code of ethics for artificial intelligence (AI) systems.
