US Central Command trucks began delivering humanitarian aid from a temporary port established by the US in the Gaza Strip. The vehicles left the temporary port at 09:00 local time.


According to the post of the US Central Command on the social network, the trucks carrying humanitarian aid left the temporary port at 09:00 local time.

It is an "ongoing multinational effort to provide additional assistance to Palestinian civilians in Gaza" and includes assistance from several countries and humanitarian organizations.

Earlier, on May 8, the US Department of Defense announced the completion of the construction of a temporary port near the coast of Gaza for the delivery of humanitarian aid by sea.

35,272 Palestinians, including at least 15,103 children and 9,849 women, have been killed and 79,205 injured in Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7 last year.
