The UAE government introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of Uzbekistan for up to 30 days from February 16 .

On January 16, a cooperation protocol on mutual exemption from entry visa requirements was signed between the governments of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, UzA reports.

According to the document, citizens of Uzbekistan will be exempted from visa requirements in the UAE for a period not exceeding 30 days.

The protocol of intergovernmental cooperation was signed by the ambassador of Uzbekistan to this country A. Akkulov and the deputy minister of foreign affairs of the country Khalid Abdulla Belhul. The document will officially enter into force on February 16, 2024.

Therefore, the number of countries that can be visited without obtaining a visa has reached 29, and Uzbekistan has risen to 71st place in the Global Passport Power rating, the report says.

For information, more than 119,400 Uzbeks visited the UAE in 2023 and spent $9.2 million on visas.
