On August 28, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. The issues of further development of strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey, expansion of cooperation in cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres were discussed at the meeting.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy on August 28, the press service of the head of state reported.

At the meeting, issues of further development of Uzbekistan-Turkey comprehensive strategic partnership, expansion of cooperation in cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres were discussed.

Today's high level of interstate cooperation was noted with particular satisfaction. Mutual trade and investment, cargo volume, business and tourist trips are increasing. More than 90 flights are made every week.

Special attention was paid to continuing intensive cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The importance of adopting the relevant "roadmap" as soon as possible, launching institutional mechanisms of practical cooperation, conducting national culture and film days, protecting art and cultural heritage, developing tourism potential and promoting joint projects in other priority directions was emphasized.

In turn, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Ersoy informed that Uzbekistan attaches great importance to cultural activities, especially in 2025, will increase mutual cultural activities and events, and also noted that art institutions and artists of Uzbekistan and Turkish art institutions and artists will hold mutual events in 2025.
