President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko came to Uzbekistan on an official visit. At the international airport named after Islam Karimov, the head of Belarus was met by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, the Acting Mayor of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergey Aleynik.

The leader of Belarus first visited the Humo Arena ice palace in Tashkent . President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met Alexander Lukashenko at the sports complex.

The presidents of the two countries watched the match between the hockey teams "Humo" of Tashkent and "Nomad" of Astana.

At the end of the game, hockey uniforms with their names were given to the high-ranking guests.

A solemn ceremony dedicated to the official welcome of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, was held at the "Koksaroy" residence.

After the welcoming ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Alexander Lukashenko held talks in a narrow circle with the participation of the official delegations of the two countries.

During the negotiations, it was reported that the volume of trade has increased by 15% by the end of last year, and the governments have been tasked with increasing this indicator to more than 1 billion dollars in the coming years.

At the end of the negotiations, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a resident of Uzbekistan , and Alexander Lukashenko, a resident of Belarus , adopted a joint statement.

A ceremony of signing a number of important bilateral documents and agreements was held in the presence of the heads of state.

- Agreement on cooperation in the fields of development of competition, protection of consumer rights and regulation of the advertising market;

- Agreement on cooperation in science and production;

- Agreement on establishment of fraternal relations and development of multilateral cooperation between the cities of Tashkent and Minsk;

- Protocol on cooperation in the field of energy;

- Protocol on cooperation in the field of intellectual property;

- Cooperation program in the field of sports in 2024-2025;

- Cooperation program in the field of culture and art in 2024-2025;

- Cooperation program in the field of training, retraining and professional development of pedagogic personnel of preschool educational institutions in 2024-2025;

- "roadmap" for cooperation in the field of education in 2024-2025;

- "roadmap" for cooperation in the agro-industrial complex in 2024-2026;

- Plan of joint measures for the development of cooperation in the field of plant quarantine;

- Plan of measures for cooperation in the field of tourism in 2024-2025.

In addition, as part of the visit, a schedule of mutual visits of the delegations of the regions of Uzbekistan and Belarus in 2024 was signed.

After the Uzbekistan-Belarus summit, a tree-planting ceremony was held at the "Koksaroy" residence.

Alexander Lukashenko accompanied by Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Technopark in Tashkent. A wide range of high-tech products, such as household appliances, electronic meters, elevators and escalators, pumps, industrial boilers, cooling systems, manufactured at Technopark enterprises, were presented to the attention of the President of Belarus .
