The Ministry of Internal Affairs admitted its mistake in spreading false information about Mubashshir Ahmed

Earlier, there were reports that Ustoz Mubashshir Ahmad (Alisher Tursunov), the founder of the "Azon" projects and the "Azon Global" information and analytical portal, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "Azon" Foundation for the Peoples of Central Asia in Turkey, was wanted on charges of extremely serious crimes on social media.

After that, lawyers from the law firm "VERUM LAW FIRM" issued a statement stating that the reports that Ustaz Mubashshir Ahmad was being charged with a very serious crime were unfounded.

Finally, the spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Shohrukh Giyasov, who was responsible for spreading such unfounded news about Ustoz, also admitted his mistake.

He said that Mubashshir Ahmad is not suspected of a crime under Article 244-2 of the Criminal Code, and that a technical error was made in the dissemination of information.

"It was found that on August 11, 2023, the Investigation Department of the Shaykhontohur District Internal Affairs Department of Tashkent city initiated a criminal case against citizen Alisher Tursunov (pseudonym Mubashshir Ahmad), born in 1974, under Article 244-3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Illegal preparation, storage, import or distribution of materials of religious content)," the explanation says.
