The government of Kazakhstan has resigned

President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Toqaev signed the decree accepting the resignation of the country's government . Roman Vasilevich Sklyar was temporarily entrusted with the duties of Prime Minister .

On February 5, 2024 , the President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Toqayev , signed the decree "On the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan" . Zakon.kz reports .

According to the text of the decree, in accordance with Article 70 of the Constitution of the country , the president decided to accept the resignation of the government of Kazakhstan.

"The duties of the prime minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall be temporarily entrusted to Roman Vasilevich Sklyar," the document says.

The decree also states that the president has ordered members of the Kazakh government to "continue to perform their duties until the new composition of the government is approved."

The decree enters into force from the date of signing
