At the beginning of the meeting, the chairman of the Turkish parliament conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the leader of our country.
Current issues of development of Uzbekistan-Turkey comprehensive strategic partnership relations were discussed.
It was noted with satisfaction that the current high level of bilateral cooperation, active dialogue and exchanges at all levels are continuing.
The indicators of mutual trade and investment are growing, the number of joint projects and enterprises, and air travel are increasing. Joint cultural events are held in the two countries.
Effective relations have been established between the legislative bodies of Uzbekistan and Turkey.
It was emphasized that the active participation of friendship groups and relevant committees in further development of inter-parliamentary relations, in the formation of the agenda of Uzbekistan-Turkey cooperation and in ensuring control over the implementation of high-level agreements is important.
Special attention was paid to promotion of investment programs, promotion of tourism, business and educational exchanges.
Prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation within the framework of international structures, particularly the Organization of Turkic States, were also discussed.
