Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit China

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to visit China in September this year. During the visit, Mirziyoyev will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. This was announced in Xi Jinping's congratulatory message to Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his 68th birthday.

"I am pleased to welcome you to China on the occasion of your participation in the Tianjin Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people in the war against Japanese aggression and the victory in World War II," the letter reads.

For your information, a military parade will be held in Beijing on September 3, 2025, to commemorate the end of World War II. International meetings will be held as part of the parade, including a meeting of the heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
