President to participate in the second summit in the "Central Asia - China" format

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Astana today, June 17, to participate in the second summit in the "Central Asia - China" format, at the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The event will be attended by leaders of the region's states and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Issues of multilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres will be considered, and views will be exchanged on topical issues of regional and international importance. It is planned to adopt joint documents at the end.

As part of the summit, Mirziyoyev will also hold a bilateral meeting with the Chinese president.

The first summit in this format was held in Xi'an, China, in May 2023.
