President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin expressing his deep condolences in connection with the death of many law enforcement officers and citizens as a result of the armed attack in the cities of Darband and Makhachkala. Sherzod Asadov informed about this.

"The leader of Uzbekistan strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Dagestan and expressed his readiness to continue the active cooperation of the relevant structures in the fight against these threats," Asadov's message said.

For information, on June 23, in the city of Darband, Dagestan, unknown gunmen attacked a synagogue and a church and shot at police officers.

According to the National Counter-Terrorism Committee, five fighters were killed during the night operation.

Before that, it was reported that six people were killed - four in Makhachkala, two in Derbent. At the same time, there is no exact information about the number of attackers.

Most of the victims and injured are police officers. According to the latest information, 15 policemen and at least two civilians were killed. 16 people were hospitalized.

Three days of mourning were announced in Dagestan after this armed attack.
