Kyrgyzstan is not interested in helping Russia circumvent Western sanctions. "Russia is our biggest partner, and therefore we do not want to get into a situation where our small, developing country is required to solve problems between third parties," said Edil Baisalov, Deputy Head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Edil Baysalov, the deputy head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers, said that the republic is not interested in helping Russia circumvent Western sanctions.
"It is not in our interest in any way. We are talking about 45 dual purpose goods. You see, we built a free market economy, and therefore we cannot control millions of transactions and hundreds of thousands of businesses. We cannot know what they will sign and where they will bring it," he explained in an interview with Deutsche Welle.

According to Rami, most of the supply contracts concluded on behalf of Kyrgyz entrepreneurs are nominal.

"These goods do not even enter our country," he said, noting that those entering the Kyrgyz Republic were stopped at the border.

"We invited the Europeans to inform us about such contracts signed by Kyrgyz enterprises. They threw up their hands and said it was impossible. It is also impossible to demand totalitarian control from us," Baysalov said.

Baisalov added that Kyrgyzstan will gain the trust of the whole world community.

"Russia is our largest partner, and therefore we do not want to find ourselves in a situation where our small, developing country is required to solve problems between third parties. I think our situation is understood in all capitals of the world," the official concluded.

Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Serik Jumangarin, said that the republic will follow the sanctions against Russia, because it is beneficial from the economic point of view.

"The size of our economy is small, naturally we cannot withstand the pressure of sanctions. That is why we are in constant communication, we have centers that work directly with the USA and the European Union," said Jumangarin.
